Stillness

You wake up on cold, damp ground... the echo of water droplets resounds in the darkness around you. The cave is dark; you see only a faint glimmer of light in the distance, as if inviting you to leave... or perhaps leading you astray. You don't remember how you got here, but one thing is clear: you must get out. Every step you take opens a new path, but every time you think you've found the exit... you wake up again in the same place. Is this a nightmare? Or does the cave itself not want you to leave?
